There are times when little seems to change over many years. And then there are phases when developments unfold with a dynamic in a very short time that would otherwise take decades. Many people are currently experiencing exactly this feeling.
The zeitgeist is changing. Values, perspectives, and societal priorities are in flux. Such changes rarely occur uniformly – they often happen gradually, but sometimes surprisingly quickly. This can seem unfamiliar or even irritating to some people.
However, with openness, common sense, and a willingness to contextualize new developments, these changes can be better understood. Every era brings its own challenges, but also new opportunities.
Perhaps we will only recognize many connections in retrospect. Until then, it is worthwhile to remain attentive, ask questions, and sharpen our own focus on what is essential.
