Hello everyone,
the product is good & some reflections on this thesis shall be briefly explained by arguing the facts using common sense, according to the first principle. ;-) Olive oil is often included as an "additive" oil in other fish oil products. In addition to the price argument, we still had to decide against it based on our worldview, almost two years ago now.
-Olive oil: although it contains many monounsaturated fatty acids and is significantly more oxidation-stable than a highly polyunsaturated oil, it is not an actual antioxidant itself or a reliable "preservative" for EPA/DHA. Polyphenol-rich virgin olive oil can contribute antioxidant components, but their content fluctuates significantly.
-Krill oil: contains EPA/DHA predominantly in phospholipid form and naturally provides astaxanthin, which possesses antioxidant properties. As a result, it can provide an interesting additional protective factor.
-Coconut oil: consists predominantly of saturated fatty acids and is therefore very oxidation-stable.
And since our nervous system is encased in a fat layer, we also need saturated fatty acids for reconstruction - unfortunately, there has been a movement away from fats toward seed oils... Live long & prosper.
